We got our Goodwill orders in late last week. Yeah, I can’t get over how weird that sounds… Goodwill… orders??? Well, anyway, we are pleased with the results! We got a couple of unique necklaces for a fairly good price! They could use a bit of cleaning though.

This week one of the girls at church told me about a website where they get just about all their jewelry. I checked it out (finally) today, and I like what I see! Of course, we haven’t ordered anything yet, but it looks like pretty nice stuff.  Just thought I’d share that with y’all.

The past couple of days have been full of apple canning and crocheting (for me). I think we’re about done with the canning; we only got three bushels this year. That’s about half of what we got last year, but we’re not doing any cider 😦 or dried apples this time around. Our cider press needs a little work before we’ll be able to use it again; the bucket we were using gave out on us on the very last round last year. Rather nice timing actually!

I’ve found crocheting to be a most acceptable occupation lately. If I’m just going to be sitting around anyway, I might as well be doing something useful, like using up every last piece of yarn we have, and begging to go to Joann’s for more! 😉 I have a couple of unfinished projects (I seriously hate those.) that I need more yarn to finish, and I have a pattern or twenty I want to try… including something for Daddy, which shall remain a secret, but I’m sure he will love!

I haven’t had a chance to work on my quilt dress/jumper any yet, so there’s still time to get your suggestions in! (Hint, hint…)

Let’s see, what else? Oh, we’ve really been enjoying the games Set Cubed, and Quiddler lately. Both of which Luke got for his birthday. One’s Scrabble with shapes, another’s Rummy with letters! Personally, I think they’re great! 😀

Movies we’ve watched lately: High Society! It’s the musical version of  The Philadelphia Story. I liked High Society better, but I like Grace Kelly more than Katherine Hepburn. Frank Sinatra can sing better than Jimmy Stewart too. The whole jazziness of High Society appeals to me as well.

Luke got a set of classic Looney Tunes for his birthday, and we were watching those some before he started talking like Daffy Duck. We’re having to take a break from it for a little while now. 😛 I gave him a set of Three Stooges (close your mouths please; I don’t mind ’em, and it’s hilarious to watch with Luke!), so instead of Looney Tunes we’re working our way through those.  ‘Cause, you know, if you don’t get through the movies you get within a two-week time period (and that’s only if you got a LOT) then something unknown, but undoubtedly terrible will happen! … Uh, or not.

Okay, this is quite long, and I have no pictures to post. Here’s a random one for you:

From our field trip to Nashville with the Stouffers! We hit the Frist and the Symphony Hall. We need to do that again, but we should go the the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman, and Opry. 🙂
