Most of them require little or no commentary. And many of them had me grinning and laughing like an idiot. Good times, people! We had such good times!
I actually didn’t really think this one had up-to-par quality, but I felt like I ought to include a picture explaining the situation before I posted the next one.
They were dropping posts into roughly the right spots along a fence line they erected the next day. Of course I took nearly non-stop pictures when they started; I definitely foresaw this happening, and was very glad to see that it came out pretty good! These kind of shots are why I wear my camera!
Some of the craziest, best guys I know. The fun never stops!
A few minutes of recreation before dinner.
One cool dude who came along to watch the shots.
A fellow observer, only she wanted to chase/catch bullets or the dust they stirred up.
Grace and her teddy bear-like puppy. Love you, girl!
Another cool dude. He’s so extremely expressive! LOVE IT!
Yeah, he pretty much cracks me up.
Back on the fencing job! One great thing about building fences is that younger kids can be involved in the process.
Cute, no? She’s another expressive one. Love her.
Learning how to attach t-post clips. All kids ought to know how to do this!
The next morning. They were loading up to leave.
Then I discovered that I actually like our cat! He’d gotten in their van and locked the doors! The keys were all in the van! The only window open was that one Luke’s got his hand in.
Unfortunately they were able to unlock the doors with a long, skinny, metal, looks-like-it’s-made-from-rebar thingamajig, and, after a few last minute bathroom runs, they were headed north.
We miss them terribly!

For part of fellowship this past week, the Lovetts had set up a volleyball net, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather in either playing or watching the games.
Spectators.
Getting an “anybody” game together.
I’m suspicious; I wonder what they were laughing at…
If he’s not cute, I don’t know what is!
She wasn’t too sure what she thought about that black thing pointed at her.
Ah, volleyball. You can get so many shots of people in awkward positions that even they didn’t know they could do.
Everything was done in friendly competition and good spirit. I think everyone had fun, and some of the spectators would say they had the most fun just watching.
What do you do when you’re all dolled up for Easter Sunday? Play in the dirt and dust, of course!

Yesterday we finally gave Luke his birthday wish (nevermind it was several months late…). We had a few of his friends over for a work and play day! Luke had fun, and was totally exhausted come family worship time. Daddy was too.
They started the afternoon burning a large pile of trees/branches that have been laying around for a while.
Boys. Fire. I’m guessing they enjoyed it. At least for a while.
It was a hot afternoon, and a hot job, so I also think it got old after the first hour or so. They plugged away on it for another hour to hour and a half before moving on to the next job though.
I really liked seeing the boys working together.
Daddy was with them, directing them, and keeping them busy and safe all afternoon.
Teamwork.
Yep, each of the boys worked hard. Kyle thinks it’s very possibly the best birthday present he has or will receive.
After the fire working, the boys moved a pile of cow bones and had some fun with with their BB guns. Then we all headed over to our neighbors’ for swimming and dinner!
I found a little sleeping beauty when we arrived.
Yeah, I’m lovin’ my zoom lens.
Love him!
He was such a ham yesterday!
The inner tube was a hit among the boys.
Luke’s face in this one cracks me up; I wish I knew what they were talking about.
And then we ate a delicious dinner, and enjoyed sweet fellowship. I love my community!

One of the best things about the challenge was that it got me to shoot things that I wouldn’t normally have even considered. Some of those shots turned out great, and then there were the others…
I had fun with it though, and I realized I took nearly 1000 keep-able pictures this month! Don’t worry, I’m not going to share that many here. I just wanted to go through and pick (and post) my favorites from the challenge. Let me know what y’all think!
