Much, much too busy to blog!

Life: busy, hectic, and exciting.

Let’s see, a quick update would be best since I’ve got several things pulling on me at this moment, all of which are more important than this blog.

A couple weeks ago we headed up to Coble early to help out with several projects going on over there, and to build a milking stanchion to use that weekend and during the week of presbytery. It was SO good having an extended time with our church family again; it had been a long time since we’d done that.

This past week we’ve had… rain, rain, storms, rain, and… oh, yeah, more rain. This means we’ve had… that’s right, floods. Thankfully they haven’t been too bad over our way, but it was awful in Coble! See HERE and HERE. After complaining about the lack of water for the past two or three summers I’m trying especially hard to be thankful for this rain, but…

Oh, during the worst of the flooding last week, Claire had a fiddle recital. Yeah, I know; fiddle… recital… doesn’t quite work. Anyway, she did great, and it was lots of fun (the ice cream wasn’t half bad either!).

Throughout this week we’ve been cleaning and trying to prepare a list of things we need to take when we head back to Coble for presbytery. We’re almost caught up with the cleaning, I think, but, unfortunately for those of us who like to pack and prepare ahead of time, most of the gathering is last minute.

I haven’t yet blogged about presbytery. Well, here’s a synopsis… sorta. Our family went to Peoria, IL last year when they hosted the Covenant Presbyterian Church presbytery; our church agreed to host this year’s presbytery. So, next week, folks (not just elders) are gathering in Centerville, TN to do business and fellowship. We’re heading up to Coble early to pitch in with the preparations wherever we can. Perhaps sometime in the next month I’ll have an interesting post with pictures about presbytery. Key word: PERHAPS.

And now, I must sign off. I’m busy, remember. :)
